desert blossom
At the May wedding of Liliana Meranza and
John Stevens, the desert came alive with
stunning floral displays throughout the
ceremony and reception. The bride’s bouquet
was a spectacular cascade of cymbidium orchids and lilies
which played off the bridesmaids’ celadon gowns beautifully.
The bride’s six attendants carried bouquets in stunning pink,
while the flower girl wore a darling crown of pink rosebuds.
The couple walked up an outdoor aisle at Saguaro Buttes
adorned with fresh rose petals in varying shades of pink, yellow
and white. The vibrant ceremony took a poignant turn, when,
as the bride recalls, “we took a touching moment to remember
those in our families that were no longer with us.”
At the reception, the ballroom was decorated in a lovely
green and white color scheme with silver chargers at each place
setting. Atop each charger was a unique favor for their guests:
a custom-made glass coaster featuring a photograph from the
couple’s engagement sitting. The bright floral centerpieces were
placed in high silver candelabra, making a dramatic statement
for the reception.
Says the bride, “We chose Saguaro Buttes for the stunning
vistas, the great staff and the modern facilities.” As the sun set
on their wedding day, the photographer captured the moment
for the couple to remember.
