...of their romance was high on the list of priorities for Nicole Harper and Spencer Bencs, wed last fall at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort.

Based on his horticultural experience, the groom selected spectacular flowers to decorate the wedding and reception site. Says Nicole, “We chose a beautiful combination of orchids and roses for our wedding.” The bride’s bouquet was comprised of a lovely mixture of cymbidium and dendrobium orchids and roses, while the groom wore a simple cymbidium orchid.

The ceremony was marked with a moving sand ceremony, signifying the unification of two lives. “We chose two different color sands,” explains the bride, “and during our ceremony we each poured our individual color sand into one vase. We created a beautiful vase that will last a lifetime and will always remind us of our special day.”

The reception included an elegant threetier wedding cake decorated with white and pink and adorned with roses and orchids. The groom’s cake featured his favorite lemon cream flavor. The two cakes were displayed with a collection of charming family heirlooms.
