From Our Pages: Style Central Wedding Inspiration
categories: fabulous reception sites, Floral Inspiration, For Your Ceremony, From the Consultants, Photography, Reception ideas, Stuff We Love!, Wedding Inspiration, What's Hot in Rentals

When we set up a photoshoot, we make it fabulous! Today’s wedding inspiration comes from the pages of our latest issue of Tucson Bride and Groom Magazine in the Style Central article conceptualized and styled by Anne Bryan of Creative Events LLC.  This event planner seemed to have endless ideas for this photoshoot and we all ran with them! Purple is the predominant color but you can see that there are no limits when it comes to this versatile hue.

I love the happy vibe of this setting- the cupcakes from Mini’s Cupcakes are as tasty as they are lovely and the shepard’s hooks provide the perfect opportunity to dress up the ceremony space. Pink and purple are a natural pair if you want a springy mood at your event.

I love this bouquet and the light captured by photographer Chris Richards Photography is beautiful

Cocktail and reception lounges are not just a trend- they are here to stay and why wouldn’t you want to linger in this chic lounge? The white couches are modern and comfortable while the pillows invite guests to hang out, mingle and  relax. The mirrored tables add a glam factor; imagine them at night underneath twinkle lights?

This deeper tone of purple is stunning with glowing golden yellow. The centerpieces by Elaine Taylor Fine Florals strike the right balance between rustic and elegant. Artichokes? Of course! Fruits and vegetables make for fabulous design.

Light purple and mint green inspire a whimsical tone

My favorite color takes the spotlight in this citron and amethyst table. Notice how the bouquet doesn’t have purple “flowers” but still incorporates the thought of purple with the fiddlehead ferns? This is one way to avoid being too” matchy matchy” (event designers wince at the thought of everything being exactly the same color, texture and shape!). I love how the pretty necklace and bracelet from Maya Palace glow in the sun.

Museums such as the Tucson Museum of Art are hip places for weddings! Embrace the surrounding art rather than avoid it- this is a museum after all and if you choose to have your event here, you are choosing a modern design angle, which we think is way cool. The metallic pillows and sexy martinis invite your guests to chill out and have a great time.

Special Thanks to those who contributed to make our latest Style Central photoshoot our prettiest yet:

We’re bragging on…Anne Bryan!
categories: Entertainment, fabulous reception sites, From the Consultants, Reception ideas

We are going to brag a bit today about Tucson Event Planner Anne Bryan, owner of Creative Events, LLC. She is well-known locally as an event maven and was featured in an article recently in the Arizona Daily Star!

One of the biggest decisions every couple has to make regarding location for their ceremony and reception.  Many brides and grooms choose to host their events at  a home; either the B&G’s home, a relative’s home, or a home that can be rented.

This option offers a different kind of vibe to the event than a resort does. There’s an intimate slant to it all and often, with Arizona’s amazing evening weather, many couples choose to entertain outside. Anne Bryan was asked to dole out some tips to readers regarding backyard decor.

In the article, Anne suggests “spiffing things up a bit but not going overboard or using something you wouldn’t normally want in your backyard”. Among my favorite ideas from the article is the suggestion to “change out the pool lights to compliment the décor” and to “use aromatic plants to enhance the mood”. Anne’s idea to use small lanterns for hanging on plants or bushes is solid advice because the lanterns protect both the plants and the guests from the flame while still adding a gorgeous glow to the area. Anne is an event planner that thinks of everything!

We would love to hear what you have done or are going to do to prepare your backyard for your event!
